Seller's Point 1.3 Released |
|
Tundra Software has just updated Seller's Point to version 1.3. This update is quite substantial; it adds a number of powerful new features, user interface improvements, and security updates.
Seller's Point has had two major features added with this update: the ability to view video inside of of the Seller's Point Viewer, and the ability to have text beside video. For these features, a new tab has been added inside of Seller's Point Viewer with the exclusive purpose of viewing and navigating video.
The ability to view video inside of Seller's Point makes quickly viewing different transactions very easy. There's no need to switch between Seller's Point and the client application of the DVR to view search information and then view video. Everything is now viewable right in Seller's Point. It is not necessary to even install the DVR client software. All that is needed to view video and transactions is the Seller's Point Viewer.
With the video in Seller's Point, there is now also the option to have transaction text be displayed along side of the video, instead of overlayed on top of it. A minor benefit to this is that it means no video is going to be lost by having transaction text on top of it; however, the real advantage of text beside video is it is a much more intuitive way to view the transaction data along with video. It works by having transaction text displayed in a time line next to the video. With the time line, a user can see what transactions just happened, which are happening, and what's about to happen in the video playback. This allows the user to easily be oriented in the video playback and assess what is happening. In addition, the transaction timeline can be used to navigate the video playback - a click on a particular to transaction time will take the video to that exact spot.
If you're interested in using these powerful features to secure your business and prevent loss, please take a look at the Purchase page. If you're already using Seller's Point, either use the auto-update feature, or contact

With the release of version 1.2, Seller's Point is now able to integrate with MICROS 3700 registers with RES 4.0 This is great news for owners of MICROS 3700 systems!
Seller's Point is the only register surveillance integration in the world to fully integrate with MICROS 3700 systems. Everything that happens at the point of sale is going to be searchable by Seller's Point to easily bring up video and transaction information. Every button press and transaction can viewed exactly as they happened. Seller's Point gives its users the power of standing beside their registers and overseeing every single transaction as it is occurring.
Our software engineers were able to work directly with MICROS engineers to bring the integration to completion. The integration to the MICROS 3700 is so thorough that Seller's Point can actually search any piece of information that the MICROS 3700 stores iteself. The connection to Seller's Point can all be done over existing IP networks; it doesn't require the use of serial cables or hogging journal ports.

Seller's Point 1.2 has just been released! This new version adds quite a few features and improvements in ease of use. In addition to feature updates, we've added support for MICROS 3700 point-of-sale systems. We are proud to be able help owners of MICROS POS systems secure their businesses.
Some of the improvements to Seller's Point include user interface enhancements, saving of common searches, exporting results, and a more streamlined initial configuration.
The ability to save common searches will be a time saving feature to users of Seller's Point. A user can now save the search parameters for any query and be able to quickly execute the search again and again. Entering a search with many restraints can be time consuming and painstaking, especially if it is going to be used multiple times. With the saved search feauture, it can be entered once and saved, and used over and over again very quickly and easily.
Exporting results means that a user can save a set of results in a csv file(comma separated values). This is a feature with great potential. The resulting csv file can be opened by spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc, and used for further analysis or ever generating accurate charts and graphs.

Tundra Software has officially partnered with MICROS Systems! We will soon be able to bring full support of MICROS point-of-sale systems to Seller's Point.
In the next couple weeks, 2 of our software engineers will be going to the MICROS headquarters in Maryland. They will be working with MICROS engineers to create the best possible POS integrated surveillance solution! We are happy to anounce that we will soon have the first, and only, fully supported MICROS integration for register surveillance.
We plan to first add support for the MICROS 3700 and RES 4.0. These are the most popular POS systems in the world and we're happy to say that Seller's Point will soon be able to support their users. As soon as work on the 3700 has completed, we will begin work on the hugely popular MICROS 9700. |
